This Kaththirikai Puli Thokku is a very simple and quick side dish recipe Eggplant mixed with Onion and Tamarind dish served with pulav, biryani even idly Dhosa. This dish also popularly prepared in the Andhra and Tamilnadu region.
Kaththirikai ( Egg Plant ) : 2
Small Onion : 100 gm
Dry Red Chilli : 2
Green Chilli : 2
Tamarind : A lemon sized ball
Salt : as needed
Roast Kaththirikai ( Egg Plant ) in the stove, soak in water and peel the skin.
Soak Tamarind in water and prepare thick extract.
Mix Kaththirikai ( Egg Plant ) , Onion, Chilli, Tamarind extract, salt and mash well.
